We, Vaishnavi and Ujwal, are currently interning at the Chamber of Marathwada Industries and Agriculture (CMIA). We were thrilled to be part of the organizing team for the 7th edition of the Energy Conclave 2024 that took place on the 1st and 2nd of March. The event was organized by CMIA in collaboration with MGM University, and the theme for the event was “Sustainable Energy Transition Trends”. The target audience for this event was industry professionals and engineering students.
In our role, we had the privilege of leading a team of 30 volunteers and ensuring that every aspect of the event was executed seamlessly. We learned so much from this experience, such as how to effectively plan and execute an event, develop communication skills, make arrangements, select prominent speakers, contact them, draft official letters, and manage different speakers respective to their positions. Additionally, we were responsible for looking
after the logistics of the guests, which involved ensuring their transportation, accommodation and any other requirements were taken care of.
We also got the chance to meet the Co-Founder of Ather Energy Mr. Swapnil Jain and other well-known personalities in the energy sector. We learned about upcoming opportunities and scopes in the energy sector. How India will be a green economy and how it will generate employment.
As second-year BMS students, this was an incredible opportunity for us to gain valuable experience and learn from some of the best in the industry. We feel extremely fortunate to have been a part of this amazing event and are grateful to our college NSBT for providing us with this internship opportunity.
