A Journey Beyond Classrooms: My Industry Visit Experience at NSBT

As a student, it's easy to get caught up in lectures, assignments, and exams—and in doing so, we sometimes forget the real purpose of education: to prepare us for the world outside the classroom. Thanks to Nath School of Business and Technology (NSBT), I had the opportunity to experience exactly that.

Over the past two years, I’ve had the privilege of visiting four well-known companies: Vijay Gears Pvt. Ltd., Rucha Engineering Pvt. Ltd., TrueView, and Som Auto Pvt. Ltd. Each visit was not just a field trip but a powerful lesson that offered insights far beyond what textbooks or PowerPoint presentations could teach.

1. Vijay Gears Pvt. Ltd.

My industry visit journey began with Vijay Gears, and it truly changed the way I think about small components like motors and gears. I had never considered how much precision and effort go into manufacturing something that, on the surface, seems so simple. One of the senior team members told us, “Even a millimeter of error is unacceptable in this industry.” That sentence stayed with me. It resonated with my interest in technology, programming, and cybersecurity, where the smallest mistake can cause major failures. The attention to detail and accuracy I witnessed left a deep impression on me.

2. Rucha Engineering Pvt. Ltd.

My second visit took me to Rucha Engineering, where I immediately felt the disciplined, professional environment. The production floor buzzed with synchronized activity—machines, people, and systems working seamlessly together. What struck me most was the synergy between human skills and advanced technology. I observed the full manufacturing process, from raw material testing to final product dispatch. It was a reminder that while automation is powerful, the human mind remains crucial in making decisions and solving problems. I understood that success in this field requires both technical knowledge and practical wisdom.

3. TrueView

My third visit was to TrueView, a tech-driven company that operates in the software and digital innovation space. This visit stood out for me, as I am passionate about technology and cybersecurity. The team walked us through product development—from ideation and testing to market launch. What impressed me was their emphasis on data security, teamwork, and ethical responsibility. I realized that companies today don’t just look for coders or designers—they seek professionals who understand the importance of integrity, security, and collaboration in every project.

4. Som Auto Pvt. Ltd.

At Som Auto, the highlight was teamwork and quality control. The production line was efficient and well-structured, but the real learning came from observing how different departments communicated and collaborated to prevent errors. From design to execution, everyone was aligned with the company’s values. This visit taught me that excellence isn’t just about building good products—it’s about doing it with responsibility and integrity.

Lessons Learned

These four visits transformed the way I view my classroom lessons. I could finally connect theoretical knowledge with real-world applications. I now understand why our professors often say, “This will be useful in your career.”

Most importantly, I realized the value of soft skills. Whether it’s an engineer, manager, or technician—everyone needs to communicate clearly, work in a team, and perform under pressure. These are the traits that no textbook can teach, but they are indispensable in the real world.

I also learned that growth is a continuous process. Every company we visited emphasized staying updated with modern technologies and upskilling regularly. Learning, I realized, doesn’t stop with graduation; it’s a lifelong journey if one wants to stay relevant and successful.

Gratitude to NSBT

I am truly grateful to NSBT for organizing these industry visits. As a student of Nath School of Business and Technology, this experience has given me a fresh perspective on my future. It has motivated me to work not just for marks, but for meaningful knowledge, practical experience, and a well-rounded skill set.
