When I think about my college journey at NSBT, it feels like a new beginning full of nervous moments, new friendships, learning cool tech stuff, strict rules, and growing into someone more confident. I never imagined how much I would grow in just a few years. Let me tell you honestly about my experience as a BCA student at NSBT.

How I Chose BCA and NSBT

To be honest, after my 12th, I didn’t know what to do. I was from the commerce field, so engineering wasn’t an option for me. I didn’t have any fixed plan in mind. Then, my brother suggested he told me to take BCA, since I had a growing interest in computers and tech.

We searched for good colleges, and NSBT caught our attention. It had a good reputation and promised guaranteed placements after BCA. That was a big reason why I took admission here.

My First Day at College

On the first day at NSBT, I was very nervous. Actually, not just the first day for a few days, I was feeling shy and uncomfortable. Everything was new the teachers, students, classes. I didn’t enjoy much on the first day, to be honest. It felt boring.

But the college had arranged some fun games and a tour of the MGM campus, which helped us settle down. Slowly I started adjusting and feeling better.

Subjects I Really Enjoy

As I started attending lectures regularly, I found out which subjects I really liked. I enjoy programming the most. Solving problems, writing code it's challenging but very interesting. I also really like soft skills and communication skills sessions. They help me open up, speak better, and feel more confident.

Another subject that grabs my attention is Computer Networks it's amazing to learn how devices talk to each other. And of course, cloud computing is something I’ve become deeply interested in. I want to build my future in that field.

Friends Who Made College Fun

One of the best parts of my college life is the friends I made. Everyone in my class is friendly. We enjoy lectures, crack jokes during breaks, and help each other in studies.

My closest friend is Akshad. Both of us are introverts, so we understand each other very well. We talk about our lives, our problems, have endless inside jokes and laugh a lot. He is not just a friend but like a brother now. The time we spend together always lifts my mood.

Tough Times and Strict Rules

Everything was not easy. In first year, I found C programming very difficult. I used to think I might fail. But somehow, I practiced more and managed to pass the subject without any backlogs. That was a big relief for me.

One thing I still struggle with is reaching college on time for the first lecture. If you’re even 2–3 minutes late, the teacher won’t allow you to enter the class. Also, the 75% attendance rule is no joke. Even if a subject feels useless you can’t skip classes, you still have to attend it just to meet the requirement. That part sometimes feels forced, but it’s part of the system.

Beyond Studies: Industrial Visits and Events

One of the best things about studying at NSBT is the real-world exposure. We went on industrial visits to companies like Rucha Engineers, SOM AUTOTECH, and Vijay Gears. It was interesting to see how things work outside the classroom.

Every Friday, I also volunteer with Prayas Youth Foundation, where we plant trees and contribute to the environment. It feels good to do something meaningful beyond academics.

NSBT also organizes great events and seminars. I attended Cyber Shield 2025, which was all about cybersecurity. NSBT also organized a session of Maulin Pandya who gave us some powerful motivation to stay focused in life and studies. Plus, I’ve attended business and tech conferences that gave me new ideas and inspiration.

Teachers Who Know the Industry

Most of the faculty at NSBT are from the corporate world, and that really helps. Their teaching style is practical and they often share industry insights that you won’t find in books. They’re experienced and genuinely want us to do well. That makes a big difference in how we learn and grow.

Discipline, Dress Codes, and Strict Rules

NSBT is a strict college when it comes to discipline. We have to wear proper uniform every day college shirt, black trousers, black formal shoes. Shirt must be tucked in properly. If not, we have to pay fine, and if we repeat it, we get a disciplinary notice.

Even chewing gum, minor misbehavior can get you into trouble. While I don’t enjoy all these strict rules, but I do understand that it prepares us for the professional world where discipline and behavior matter a lot.

How NSBT Helped Me Find My Path

Before I joined NSBT, I didn’t really have a clear plan. I was just going with the flow. But now, I can say with full confidence that I want to become a Cloud Engineer. NSBT gave me the knowledge, the exposure, and the push I needed to believe in myself and dream bigger.

How I’ve Changed Over the Years

When I look at the version of myself who joined NSBT and compare him to who I am today the difference is huge. I’ve become more confident, more skilled, and my communication has improved a lot. I’ve learned to face challenges, manage my time, and even speak with anyone.

More importantly, now I know what I want to do with my life. That clarity is something I never had before.

Final Thoughts

Being a BCA student at NSBT has been a life-changing experience for me. There were boring days, strict rules, tough lectures, and faced difficulties but there were also great friends, inspiring teachers, real-world learning, and personal growth.

If someone asked me “Would you choose NSBT again?” I will say yes. Not because my journey was perfect, but because it helped me become a better version of myself.
